The ‘DSGMET’ tool developed for the Australian Defence Support Group (DSG) is a metadata entry and validation tool which outputs DSG profile compliant XML suitable for publishing through an Australian Spatial Data Directory (ASDD) gateway.
Software Improvements has drawn on DSGMET to create a wizard based metadata collection tool, ANZMet Lite, compliant with the ANZLIC core metadata profile ISO 19115.
The new tool has been designed to be capable of extension to meet the needs of other metadata communities of interest, and structured to facilitate future development.
ANZMet Lite was launched at the 2009 spatial@gov Conference held at the National Convention Centre, Canberra in June 2009. Presentations from the Conference can now be accessed from the new spatial@gov website.
